Some plugins have placeholders built-in and don't require an expansion other plugins require you to download the expansion to make them work.
TIP 2: The easiest way to find out what expansion you need to download is in the placeholder itself - for something like %player_name%, the first word before the underscore ( _) is player, thus the command to run would be /papi ecloud download player I don't know where to find placeholders! You can also download them manually, if you so choose just simply download them directly form PlaceholderAPI's website and putting it in "plugins/PlaceholderAPI/expansions" folder.
